CARNIVAL’S DAY

Carnival is a very old tradition where people wear costumes and they celebrate a big party.
Cifuentes is not a village that has this party but this year, we wanted the high school to celebrate it!

When we decided to ask the teacher for permission it was a bit late, because we hadn’t got time to organise everything, but better late than never!! So we accorded to dress as a hippie.
The next day, on Friday the 20th of February of 2009, we appeared in class with all the costumes and all the material we needed.

Our intention was to be disguised the whole day but alt first teacher prohibited us to do it! We were very disappointed because we really were looking forward to do it, but Marta, the teacher of IT and Diego, the teacher of biology, helped us to get the permission so we didn’t beat about the bush and we put on our costumes.

It was a greet surprise because we had though our celebration wouldn’t have been done but finally we were disguised the last hour of class.

We took a lot of photos and we had a lot of fun. Also Marta was dressing as a witch and Diego was dressed as the famous o biologist Darwin.

In my opinion it was a pity that just one class celebrated it but we are going to try to establish this tradition for next years.

We also created placards and we delivered them to all the classes, just to share this special day with everybody.
